High Blood Pressure Control Tips


Controlling high blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is crucial for maintaining your overall health and reducing the risk of serious complications such as heart disease and stroke. Here are some tips to help you control high blood pressure:

  1. Maintain a healthy weight: Losing excess weight and maintaining a healthy weight is one of the most effective ways to control high blood pressure. Aim for a body mass index (BMI) within the healthy range.

  2. Adopt a healthy diet: Follow the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) eating plan, which emphasizes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and low-fat dairy products. Reduce your sodium (salt) intake and limit processed and high-sodium foods.
