Burns can range from mild to severe, and it's important to seek professional medical attention for severe burns. However, for minor burns, you can try some home remedies to help alleviate pain and promote healing. Here are a few home remedies for minor burns:
Cool water: Immediately after a burn, hold the affected area under cool (not cold) running water for 10-20 minutes. This helps to cool the burn and relieve pain. Do not use ice or extremely cold water, as it can further damage the skin.
Aloe vera: Apply pure aloe vera gel or aloe vera cream to the burned area. Aloe vera has soothing properties that can help reduce pain, inflammation, and promote healing. Avoid using aloe vera products that contain added colors or fragrances.
Honey: Apply a thin layer of honey to the burn and cover it with a sterile gauze or dressing. Honey has antimicrobial properties and can help prevent infection while providing a moist environment for healing.
